    restaurant owner is being taken up on his offer to host a prom for the school?  I think it is very important that the entire student body has access to a decent substitute event.  If it turns out to be a more exciting and elaborate than any the school would have produced, even better.  In that event, students might come to see Constance's proactive efforts as having been a good thing for everyone.  Yes, you know and I know that it's the school board's fault and not hers that the prom was canceled, but try to explain that to a bunch of self-absorbed, over-reactive teenagers.  If there are any fundraising efforts to sponsor a private prom, I would be interested in knowing about them.
