    ...of abusing her power (when she had it), plus her long history of utter hypocrisy on all issues related to child-rearing, parenting, morality and personal responsibility, combined with the fact that (God knows why) she's managed to con her way into a situation where she could conceivably regain high office, that in her case, yes, the public's right to know outweighs the risk of mildly embarrassing a teenager.

    Besides, the issue isn't the seriousness of the alleged crime itself, it's the seriousness of the parents' inappropriate intervention.

          Although I simply can't agree that writing a diary about a 15 year old's brush with the law isn't bringing her children into it.
