  •  Who can beat her (0+ / 0-)

Who do we have who can beat her?  Tarryl Clark?  I fear not.  Clark is too busy pushing laws to keep people from viewing porn in the privacy of their own hotel rooms.  Sounds like something Bachmann would love.  If Clark thinks she is going to peel off votes from the right wing christian fringe she has another think coming.

    •  Tarryl is a solid candidate (6+ / 0-)

Tarryl's a great candidate.  I wrote a post a bit ago about everything a candidate would need to do to win in MN-06.  So far Tarryl is doing all of those things.

    •  Maureen Reed (0+ / 0-)

Maureen Reed is an excellent candidate (she's a doctor).  She is more conservative than Clark on some things, but more liberal on others.

I can't see any way that Taryl Clark (who I also like) can beat Bachmann in a general election, but Maureen Reed can appeal to moderates, as well as liberals.

Have to think Muareen Reed is the only choice if you want to win in November.

I have nothing personally against Maureen Reed, but her running to the primary will only force Tarry Clark to spend alot of money to win the primary.  Clark will then only have a short amount of time to rebuild her war chest to take on Bachmann.

In the end, Reed is only helping Bachmann.

I've been watching the two campaigns, Reed's is not that well run and Clark's is.  Reed should bow out and give Clark a running start ...

        •  That's BS (0+ / 0-)

Maybe Clark is only helping Bachmann?  Afterall, since Taryl Clark can't win the general, maybe she should step aside for the one candidate who can win.

Seriously, I like both candidates, but I've come to the conclusion that Maureen Reed is the only real chance to defeat Bachmann.

But I happen to agree with Kos that primaries are good for the party, and often strengthen candidates for the main event.

Clark isn't going to worry about Reed, that she's focused on beating Bachmann.
