  •  Yeah, don't think that's really up for debate (7+ / 0-)

But DLC policies are falling far short, and before the year is out we could easily see a 50% increase in our homless population.

    •  The virtually nonexistent DLC isn't the problem (3+ / 0-)

It's a handful of Democratic senators who are blatantly for sale. I think it's more money than any half-dead "DLC policies." What does it cost to buy a piece of Blanche Lincoln? Why do you think I am campaigning so hard for Jennifer Brunner for Senate in Ohio? Her primary opponent Lee Fisher is a nice man who seems like a good enough liberal, but his campaign finance report is filled with corporate PAC money. Personally, I've had my fill of the needs of big banks being more important than the needs of the average working (or non-working in this case) person.

Let Repubs do most of the messaging, stand for tepid policy to be more compassionately conservative than the Repubs, but no matter what you do for the people, do the sensible compromise by giving more to big money, and maintain the net decline of the people.

        Commission.

While it's true that a fair number of them prefer to go by the name "New Democrats" these days, they're very much alive and well.
