  •  Not just Easter. (12+ / 0-)

Right Wingers, both the politicians and their devotees, will go to church today and celebrate not only their love of and commitment to The Risen Christ, but also their own Special Holy(ier than everyone else) Piety, and then, within milliseconds after exiting their respective houses of worship, will go right back to behaving like the nasty, snarling, mean-spirited, rapacious, ego-driven jerks they were just milliseconds before they walked into church.

The question is begged:  if Christianity is not a transformative Faith for them, then what good is it?

Of course, for millions of people Christianity is a transformative Faith -- a positive thing for, and a positive influence on, them and in their lives.  And for and with them I say, "Happy Easter!"

For and to those who "celebrate" Easter, but who don't even make a stab at letting the Messages Hope, Love & the Good that comes from Sacrifice sink into their fevered brains, I say, "If you're going to insist on further rotting-up an already battered religion, you think you could just keep it among yourselves and leave the rest of us alone?"
