    •  Not true. (0+ / 0-)

Ask any Nutjob Christian jesus-freak, ask Fox News or Pat Robertson, and what was Prop 8 all about? The Bible, the way it's used, is anti-gay and that's an undeniable fact.

There is much to admire about Christian values, read the Beatitudes and tell me that it is full of hate.

The problem with many "Christians" is that they pay very little attention to the radical activist who they purport to worship, Jesus. They pay more attention to what others said about him than to the words he spoke.

And it seems that when they read the Bible they get stuck at Leviticus and can't get any further. Just my take on it. I doubt that Jesus would be very happy with most of the people who claim to be his followers. But some of them are golden.

I couldn't agree more.  People just love to cast stones at others not in their group. For myself, I subscribe to the part where Jesus said:

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

To my mind, that trumps the OT laws of Leviticus.

Sometimes it's better to individually address a problem rather than just criticize our politicians for failing to do so.
