  •  Hey.. when you COSIGN (5+ / 0-)

a diary that says "stop the personal attacks" and then later in the comments for same diary launch unprovoked personal attacks...

Well, you deserve anything that comes your way...  and it didn't come from me.  I UNREC'D the diary after witnessing the disgraceful behavior of a few of those signatories.

    •  I scanned through the comments very carefully (5+ / 0-)

to see if any of the unnamed problem "faction" even participated in the diary.

      They did not.

Didn't bother to see who else got attacked, or how the discourse devolved. Because, as the Goddess so sagely points out, the tone was set by the inherent contradictions in the diary itself. And by what cityduck states in the first comment in this thread.

quite clear on who that "faction" is -- is that he doesn't have the nerve (or is smart [?] enough legally) to post who they are.  Which means everyone can see a (oooooh, scary!) "faction" anywhere.  It's an absurd premise, especially since any group of like-minded posters of comments, recs, and (when necessary) HRs can be pointed at and labeled a "faction" without any actual evidence that they are.  It's a paranoid way of seeing things -- and pretty funny coming from someone who has his own band of not-so-merry followers who pile on whenever he gets into a brawl here.
