Slapping in some video--fascinating tho it is--does not substitute for writing some good commentary.  As posted, this appears to be recycled attack ads on Romney and the LDS.

Check the dates, Govinda.  It's fresh.  And, yes, the same folks who were so busy battling against gay marriage last year are now fully engaged in tearing down the current administration.  As I asked in the OP, what gives?

So the people who were opposed to us a year ago are still opposed to us now?  The people making conservative videos a year ago are still doing it?  Neither of these strike me as shocking.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic here, but I think the thing that Govinda and I are wondering about is "what's the point of this diary?"  Can you elucidate your point, if you have one?  Two sentences doesn't really get much across other than "hey, some of Romney's buddies have a new video out".

My sense is that the aim of videos like this is to capture a certain ungovernable and uneducated segment of Mormon society. It’s a narrow segment in terms of American society. Which is why there won’t be many (outside of spaces like this) who’ll bother to raise a protest against the obvious insanity of it all. For those unfamiliar with how this particular formula works its magic on its intended audience, this vid will merit little more than a shrug.

For the rest of us, we understand what Boyd K. Packer meant when he said at the latest Mormon General Conference:

After all that we have correlated and organized, it is now our responsibility to activate the power of the priesthood in the Church.

Because we remember another Packer from the Prop 8 campaign:

#1: Congregations of LDS all having been taught the [anti-gay-marriage] doctrine in July so that they may see the importance of fundraising and grassroots participation ...

To both Packers, it’s all about activating LDS cells, lighting the dry kindling (PDF), finally seeing a return on the years of investment in correlation and vertical integration that have brought us to this point, where what matters is winning Prop 8 and securing the nomination for Mitt Romney.

      •  If you'd bothered to write a diary, (0+ / 0-)

you might have explained that.  Instead, you slapped up some video with no context and expect your readers to figure it out.  If it's important enough to you to bring it to people's attention, take the time to expain why it is important. You've got a great opportunity to promote your ideas, so take advantage of it.
