  •  How did Obama do that? (6+ / 0-)

It's up to the Senate to consent.  They won't.

Why is that Obama's fault, again?

today. A guy jumped off a bridge and into the local river. A guy wrote in comments that this was Obama's fault because he's trying to take over the country and force healthcare on us. O.M.G.

Sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference from the wingnuts in the local rags from here.

John Boehner thinks of himself as Ceasar. How about we change his name to Orange Julius?

    •  Recess Appointment. (6+ / 0-)

The Senate did not remove that power from the President, did it?

either have to do this again, or would be looking for a job by the next session anyway.

head up OLC in the meantime and then they could push her again when the term ends. That is really not much of an excuse.

as opposed to not having her at all. The Republicans, or a Conservadem, will delay the next appointee too. That would be the best bet, no?

58 votes in support should be enough.

her in as a recess appointment and had done with it months ago. That he folded to a bunch of Republicans who were annoyed for her calling Bush out as a war criminal and a Democrat who does not like the Democratic platform says all we need to know.

I think the most telling part of the article is that they want someone who can be confirmed quickly.

      Maybe Ken Starr is available.

      •  GOP would have delegitimized her rulings (1+ / 0-)

and therefore, would have further politicized an already-politicized DOJ.

        I'm just not sure that's a solution.
