    As I recall, Obama got about 43% of the white vote. So actually they only had about 55% of the white voting population available to them.

    If there is no accountability for those who authorized torture, we can no longer say that we are a nation of laws, not men.

      65% election after election with Dems getting wiped out on the male side of that ledger.  The number is closer to that in the GWB/Perot election, Dole, W elections.  So I'm working under the assumption that there really is 65% that could be considered "teabag receptive" and Obama was doing extraordinarily well with certain white Republicans.  I'm also assuming he won't be doing as well in the future.

      I think even if 43% is the number it is nothing to crow about and a mark of a potential source of massive instability.
