    because my son turned eleven this week and it is a rough age(and I haven't parented him as a teen yet).

    I can't say my son is very compassionate, but he understands this boy is autistic, and they know each other. I recall a holiday party when my son, Tai, introduced me to the boy and he said, "Hi, Tai's mom." I was so touched. He still does not talk much and my son says he does not play basketball or kickball because "he doesn't understand the rules" so he is pretty alone on the playground. I just hope that my son will have his back in middle school.

    No public option, no peace.
