According to Wikipedia's entry on populism, "Populism, defined either as an ideology (more rarely and uncommonly), a political philosophy or a type of discourse, is a type of political-social thought which juxtaposes 'the people' against 'the elites', and urges social and political system changes."

Krikorian's rhetoric is certainly populist, but I think based on his platform he is not anti-corporatist, but is certainly against corporations having too much power.

I think it is part of his philosophy that no group should have too much power lest it threaten to co-opt the will of the people.  In this sense I think his beliefs are consistent with basic democratic principles.
