  •  Gorgeous Sunday here in Del Mar. (5+ / 0-)

I'm glad you enjoyed the adventure.

A couple of books you might enjoy are:

Walking Down the Wild: A Journey Through the Yellowstone Rockies by Gary Ferguson. It is a fun novel about his adventures circumnavigating Yellowstone on foot.

Yellowstone: A Visitors Companion by George Wuerthner. It is a nice companion book for those that do not know anything about Yellowstone and for those that do. We always bring it with us on our trips.

Grizzly Years:  In Search of American Wilderness by Doug Peacock. Excellent and fun read about Doug's experiences in the Yellowstone back country and written by someone who is passionate about the great bear. It was hard to put the book down.

If I could only go to Yellowstone one more time it would be in late May or early June. Grizzlies are coming out of their dens and are ravenous. Wildflowers are bursting and the weather can be mixed but exciting.

In Yellowstone we laugh that if you walk 100 yards out on a trial you will not see anyone for the rest of the day - it is that uncrowded. The thermal areas are overrun but the northeast part of the park is wide open and awesome to explore.

The Ongoing Drama of Palin's Place - for your latest in faux outrage and professional victomhood.

Thanks for the rec's. Will see what the library can come up with.

Maybe a year from now. For health and other reasons, wilderness camping doesn't work for us, so the "visitors companion" might be a good find.

Post pictures anytime.  Haole in Hawaii got us to Hawaii this Feb/March.  Did a mixture of Elderhostel, tsunami avoiding, tourist stuff, day hikes, and being pampered at a beach resort.

one lodge in the park (I think there are more) that would be worth checking out. It's where I would stay if/when I get back there again.

Inconceivable! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
