  •  My little Hope kitty has several nicknames (3+ / 0-)

b/c Spousal Unit and I prefer bisyllabic pootie names:
    And, of course, Hopey!

We didn't name her, her foster parents did. But we kept their foster names because they were in the foster home for a long time and we thought changing the names of 8 month old kittens might confuse them.

Her littermate should have been named Change or some variation thereof, but the foster parents wanted to avoid advertising their political leanings to prospective forever parents, so they named Hope's sister Ember.

I was this [] close to renaming her Change ;-)

I suspect it would've pushed you over the edge and she'd be Change now.

BTW I also prefer two syllables in my pootie's names. Beethoven and Mozart are referred to as Beto and Momo. I believe they think their long names are some sort of food.
