    And no patience to read a well-written, well-argued, perfectly lucid post. But here it is so that even you might read it through.

    When Republicans call themselves "libertarians" they really stand for:
    Every man for himself.

    Devil take the hindmost.

    Might makes right.

    Blame the victim.

    Everyone else should have less, so that I might have more.
    This is at the root of their "philosophy." Government is fine with them so long as it reinforces and maintains the above.

      ...but you make my point for me.  84 concisely written words.  When I sold (life) insurance I was taught never to say blah, blah, blah when blah will do.

      I wearied of the pontification long before I got the message.  The author was his own worst enemy.
