  •  I talked to a pro-choice teabagger on Thurs (8+ / 0-)

It was a rather interesting conversation.  The one guy at least, was scared to death on the pro-lifers.  Said that they were flat-out crazies who shoot doctors and believe they're going to heaven for saving babies.
He said "They'll walk right in and shoot a guy in church".  So there wasn't much love there.  But being libertarians they didn't turn away the pro-lifers at the rally.

He was going on with a very libertarian slant, agreeing with a lot of my pushback on the GOP behavior.  No love for the neo-cons or the Iraq War spending.

And I finally got some movement on healthcare reform.  He was asking why healthcare costs were so high, and I asked (he was an auto mechanic), if he would get an estimate from the ER while he was having a heart attack, if he would do comparison shopping?  He knew the answer, so I pushed him to explain how he expected free market supply and demand to control healthcare costs?

When you can get a teabagger to acknowledge the need for gov't regulation for healthcare costs, that's progress.
