    but I just don't have much confidence in the GOP putting politics aside for the rest of the year, after the rancorous health care "debate" was politcally beneficial for them.  IMO, they republicans were able to delay and distort any democratic proposal so much that the majority has lost confidence in government (and some conservative democrats didn't help either).  Now we are stuck with what remains.
    IMO, the president needs to keep hammering this home and stoking the fire until they either give in and allow members to break with the party line else it costs them votes in the fall.

      for Democrats to capitalize on the Republicans' failure to support any measure proposed by Obama.  It should be made clear to American voters that the merit of a bill, and/or its good for the country as a whole, doesn't matter to Republicans; all they care about is defeating Obama and regaining Power.

      This should be repeated everywhere, every day until November.
