    Voting should an inaliable right of all citizens over the legal age of majority.

    And that should include not only those who 'have paid their debt', but those in jail or prison.

    It's worth noting that in many states which allow the restoration of the franchise, people lacking in resources sometimes aren't aware that their franchise can be restored, or don't know how to go about it.

    I'm curious as to whether the 5.3 million 'barred' from voting might undercount these people who techinically could regain their franchise, but currently can't register to vote because they haven't done so.
