    I will be looking through the pantry.  (One note for others: last year I gave a thing or two a glass jars, before I saw the note not to give anything in glass.  Sensible, but I just didn't think.)

    Question: I would never give expired food to a food drive, or anything that's just about to expire, but I do sometimes give things dated within the next few months, particularly if I'm not sure how I'm going to use it.  I figure the turnover rate at food bank is fast enough that it will be used and appreciated in that time.  Is that wrong?  (FWIW, I do eat food that's past its date myself, if I deem it to be wholesome.)
