  •  I'd rather posit a reasonable argument (0+ / 0-)

than TR.  But I can see where people would TR this.

The situation may be very different in the US.  But I very well remember my apartment in Dortmund overlooking a park and playground, and every morning at 7AM workers were out there cleaning up garbage and beer bottles.

The funny thing is that they were all brown in skin color, they were Turks and Middle-Easterners.

Then, when I went to work at 9:30 AM, there were unemployed Germans drinking beer at the Steh-cafes, the stand-cafes.  And they did complain about immigrants taking their jobs.

The fact is, most Germans would not take these jobs that the immigrants are supposedly "stealing" from them.

I don't know if that is the case in the US, so I can't comment on it.

But what I do know is that the language is the same, the talking points are the same.  These are the same talking points that xenophobic republicans use.  That in itself is worthy of an HR by the faq.

What is even more scary, is that these talking points are the very same ones used by the contemporary Nazi Party here in Germany, and people on dKos are up-rating them.
