    Sure, he's ambitious, but I'm looking for the connection that the EPA is in his pocket.  That's what you said above.

      The President is the CEO. Rahm is the chief of staff and enforcer.

      Might I ask that you consider the "Rahm" reference an example of synecdoche and try to be a little less mundane and nitpicky.

      The bottom line is that the President's team is quite willing to destroy the Great Lakes to save a few campaign contributors and developers in Chicago a few dollars, and to use the full force of the Solicitor General's office to do so.

        was the connection to the EPA, specifically: I'm sorry if asking for more information strikes you as mundane and nitpicky.  And no, Rahm is not a synecdoche.  He's an easy but rarely relevant bête noire, which gets more than a little annoying.
