they would have more jobs in the US.

Although the company said it saved costs by opening a Bangalore office, it's a stretch to say the firm shipped American jobs overseas. The company said in a 2006 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it had cut costs by increasing the proportion of its product development staff based in Bangalore, India. The company filings cited by Lincoln's campaign, however, do not refer to the loss of any American jobs in connection with opening the Bangalore office.

This is just nonsense - whether or not outsourcing costs Americans jobs has nothing to do with whether a company in the US that starts outsourcing does lay offs or just doesn't hire more American staff.

The real question is whether outsourcing is a good thing that makes businesses more efficient and improves the economy of both countries involved like any free cross border trade or whether people who support protectionist measures to prevent such trade are right.

I support the former, so I have no problem with what Web Methods did but to support restrictions on outsourcing and foreign imports but then turn around and claim that what WebMethods did is somehow different because one of their directors is now a Democratic politician is rank hypocrisy.
