  •  Just wait until they stop the 'unemployment' (18+ / 0-)

checks, now the Robert Rubin is 'back in action' and Peter Peterson and the Deficit Reduction Commission is going after the 'final Safety Net'...Social Security and Medicare....

Coming to a city near you in America, sooner than you think:

There 'are' consequences when the government is completely ridden with FRAUD AND CORRUPTION, no matter what they 'believe' in their little bubble in Washington DC.

...oh, not to worry, I'm wearing a Flame Retardant Valentino Orange Moo Moo whenever I visit DailyKos.

    •  yes - coming to a TV screen near you ... (12+ / 0-)
      - camera pans in to News Anchor Desk - image on screen behind Anchor is frozen, showing crowd marching, holding banners and homemade signs, many reading "No more Unemployment? What will we feed our children?"

      - Anchor introduces scene

      - image rolls ...

... "a loud, raucous crowd is on it's way towards the National Mall, again today..."

... "the protestors have arrived in such numbers that the Capital Police say they 'will no longer arrest anyone simply engaged in civil disobedience' due to lack of space to jail anymore of them, for starters."

... "today, sadly, we report the first fatality to result from the 'Working Poor Protest on the Mall", which occured during a police action, full details to follow during this evenings news round-up..."

Anyone who doesn't think that cutting off Emergency Extended Unemployment benefits to the millions who depend upon these funds to pay their rent and utility bills and to buy food and gas will result in anything less than a massive feets-in-the-streets later this summer is an ostrich, with their head buried in the sand.

Fear is a great motivator, the conservatives have proven that, over the past thirtysome years.

But abject poverty, brought on by a lack of jobs and the failure of the Federal Government to promote the general Welfare of the people during the worst economic crisis since the 1930s, by ending emergency extended unemployment (to people who have been actively looking for work, for months) is going to prove a much more potent motivator.

What will those tens of millions of long-term unemployed do, when they have no income now, and no income for the foreseeable future?

They will have only one choice.

March in the streets, in solidarity, to demand that the Federal Government do something, to start a 21st century WPA, to restart UI benefits, to get the damn working class working again.

It's coming, and it's not going to be good.
