  •  Can you go to emergency for preventative care? (6+ / 0-)

Health screeing? How about chemo if you have cancer?

Politics is like playing Asteroids - You go far enough to the left and you end up on the right. Or vice-versa.

Here's what the emergency room will do: Run a battery of tests. Determine that you're having a heart attack. Start a nitroglycerin IV drip. Schedule an ambulance to transport you to the nearest hospital with a coronary care unit. Send you a bill for $2.5k. When you can't pay, turn you over to a collection agency. But, they don't open blocked arteries. For that, you need health care.

The earth will survive. Humanity? Earth doesn't really care.
