  •  And here in Middle GA, a small town sheriff (7+ / 0-)

and some of his buddies were sentenced to prison for actually committing vote fraud, and they were republicans.  The natives scream ACORN, UNIONS, and DEMOCRATS commit voter fraud when it is some conservatives/republicans actually doing it.  On the issue of voter fraud and this sheriff, all I heard from the natives were ***crickets****. And Karen Handel who was SOS in 2008 and actively petitioned the DOJ at that time to suppress the votes of democrats and the poor by requiring that everyone show a drivers' license in order to vote, is running for governor.  We have Handel, Deal, and Oxendine, all republicans who have less than stellar reputations running for governor. Deal is under investigation by CREW and Oxendine, our insurance commissioner received campaign money from Alabama contributors in a manner that may violate FEC rules. The latest polling shows Deal in the lead among republicans.  I'm praying that God delivers us from having to put up the him for the next four years.  He's a bigot, a homophobe, a birther, a Tenther, and a fundie, among other things, all of them that don't bode well for our state if he wins in November.

I honestly don't know what to tell you about that. I haven't been to GA, so I really do not know, does GA have a photo ID that the poor could get? That way, they don't have to be driving, but they could still be ID'ed and they can prove that they are who they say they are. I only ask because I know that PA & NC DOT both offer that service & the ID is as valid as a drivers license.
