    secret holds remain secret instead of taking the rethugs to the task. Dems need to rinse, repeat and lather how the rethugs are crippling this admin.

    Between birthers, deathers and mouth-breathers, the gop has got 'teh crazy' and 'teh stoopid' covered.

      The only way to do it is either to blame whomever objects to unanimous consent requests to proceed, even if they say they're objecting on someone else's behalf, or to remove the ability for the hold to get in the way of bringing something to the floor.

      That means making the motion to proceed non-debatable. Or conceivably, constructing a new process under which unanimous consent may only be asked once, and if there's objection, at some later date there's an automatic non-debatable vote on the motion to proceed.
