  •  Well, contraceptives are SO important (8+ / 0-)

    they may have decided you'll pay for them no matter what is covered.  If that's the case, then the cost of unplanned pregnancy is less than the cost of contraceptives.

    •  That's pretty much it (0+ / 0-)

      Although covering birth control would increase the number of women using it, it would not reduce pregnancies sufficiently to increase profits. (It's not just getting the contraceptives, its using them consistently and correctly.)
