Fact is there are progressives there.  I don't know why BP (not the administration, BP) took a long time to release the tapes.  I don't know about Glass-Steagall as well, though they're trying to get the Volcker rule in there.

As for the Bagram facility, that's legally authorized under the Army Field Manual.  Perhaps your ire should be directed at Congress for that.

My point is, there are progressives in the administration.  Whether you choose to believe that or not is up to you.

You might want to tell Brian Ross over at ABC who broke the story last night that he has a lawsuit on his hands.

      Huffpo.

Obama claimed for over a year to have closed all of the black sites. This is not a Congressional issue.

is hard to explain.  Appendix M is what is designed for certain interrogation methods that are secret.  There's no waterboarding but there is prison confinement and long exposure to light.  The portion is controversial but was developed long before Obama took office.

And he actually claimed to close all CIA black sites.  To this day, that's still factually accurate.  This is DIA (run by the DOD).

As for Brian Ross?  Here's a quote:

Twenty-three days after the explosion and under pressure from the White House  and the media, BP today finally released a thirty second underwater video of the oil from its broken well spewing into the Gulf of Mexico.

That's from his report.  Sounds to me that BP had the tape and the WH cajoled it out of him.  Perhaps they were using some super jujitsu to say it was theirs and force BP to hold it and then they released it.  Maybe you and Michael Brown should start a conspiracy club together.

of Appendix M when Obama "changed" policies. I remember that the unqualified retention of Appendox M was questioned at the time, and now we know why.

And he actually claimed to close all CIA black sites.  To this day, that's still factually accurate.  This is DIA (run by the DOD). As the other Maven points out:

The devil is in the details. Literally. n/t

As regards the BP report on ABC, methinks you missed a fairly major detail. The White House has had running video of the oil volcano in its' sit room pretty much since day one.

They had to ask permission to use it?
