Obama as "impotent" (and lazy, stupid, coward, liar, bigot, war lover, blah blah blah, but let's stick to the "impotence" part).

Check out these excerpts from a USA Today article a few days ago:

Historians say President Obama's legislative record during a crisis-ridden presidency already puts him in a league with such consequential presidents as Lyndon Johnson and Franklin Roosevelt.

The [upcoming financial regulatory] bill follows a string of laws and regulations that have reshaped the American landscape in fundamental ways: overhauling the health care system, rescuing U.S. automakers, imposing stricter rules on credit card companies, designating more than 2 million acres of public land as protected wilderness, expanding equal-pay protection for women and more.

"Even if he wasn't African-American, he'd have a considerable entry in the history books," says Princeton professor Fred Greenstein, author of The Presidential Difference: Leadership Style from FDR to Barack Obama.

"What they've done over the last 15 months has taken my breath away," House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio says...

Every president enters office prepared to confront unexpected challenges. With the threat of an economic collapse at home and wars underway in Iraq and Afghanistan, however, Obama faced more immediate and far-reaching crises than any president since Franklin Roosevelt.

Maybe the above upsets you and you'd rather that Obama were indeed the impotent coward you claim he is.  If so, then too damn bad.

You know what?  What "true progressives" and teabaggers have in common is their loathing of Obama.  What contrasts them (among other things) is that "true progressives" have no respect for President Obama while teabaggers respect him a great deal.  True progressives regard Obama as an impotent, cowardly, weak, stupid, lazy buffoon, but teabaggers think the exact opposite.  They think of him as a strong, smart, "potent" president, and hate him for it.

The idea that Obama is "impotent" is about the stupidest and/or most intellectually dishonest thing I've seen on this site.  For example, how does an "impotent" president fire the CEO of one of the world's largest corporations or call a summit of 40+ world leaders (the largest summit of world leaders in history outside the founding of the UN)?  Those are just two of many, many examples that belie your lame "true progressive" talking point.
