  •  Denklau is the real deal, (3+ / 0-)

of course, I am biased.  I am volunteering for Denklau.

I met Matt at the District Convention and although he talks a good talk, I don't think he can beat King either.  I am not sure anyone can unless it is another Republican.  Matt is too much of a DINO for me.  He had a meeting with the Dickinson Co. Democrats, which is right above us on the map, and told them he was for CAFO's and was against local control.  He got his ears pinned back in a hurry.

For anyone who doesn't know CAFO's are the confinement operations for livestock and public control is whether the counties can control if and where these operations can be in their counties.

These two things have been in the Iowa Platform for several years.  And you don't go to the Iowa Great Lakes Region and tell the people who live there that it is okay to put these things around their Lakes.

He lived in Houston for several (10?) years and I think he must have got too much Bush dust on him.

My opinion is if I am going to vote for a Democrat, then I am going to vote for a real one, and I don't think that Matt Campbell is.

    FWIW

Help retire Steve King, go to Denklau for Congress and give him some help if you can.

chance of beating King, but it would still require the Democrats to cross over in the primary to vote against King.  I'm keeping my options open.

I would have to seriously consider voting for whoever it was in the primary, depending on who was running on the Dem side.

May not be exactly the right way to do it, but I would do almost anything to get rid of King.

If we end up with King and Latham in 2012, I would take Latham as bad as he was, over King any day.

I will vote in the General for whomever wins the primary, I will just be more enthusiastic if it is Mike.
