    Because of this, makers of period reproductions generally sell like this so they can sell in the UK, Canada, and in US jurisdictions like Massachusetts. Of course, when doing reenactments, their guns are literally just a "flash in the pan".

    Everyone else gives the gun to a friend with gunsmithing skills to get the touch-hole drilled.
