    Men of color are not often given the benefit of the doubt in these cases. Neither are working class/blue collar men. Do you know how much it costs to appeal?

      I am a man of color, and the issues there are different than the issues outlined here.

      First, a person who has sex with a high school sophomore is by definition not a pedophile as that is a specific medical/psychological term dealing with pre-pubescent children, not post-puberty teenagers.

      Just turned 18 and having sex with a 14 year old, not a pedophile. Just turned 18 and having sex with a 9 year old, pedophile.

      This is going to apply to those narrow group of folks that are pedophiles and have been determined to be an ongoing risk (by clear and convincing evidence) to commit pedophilia again.

      Now there are dangers of excess, but you don't make decisions based on the possibility of excess, you address the excess when it happens.
