and I am so done now. I wish Halter and Sestak all the best, but I gave it everything and ran into a brick wall of these shitheads. Maybe next year or in 2012 I'll feel like fighting again.

clearly, given the difficulties in fundraising this year.

Problem is, the lesson you're helping send to establishment candidates is that there's no repercussions for being dicks in Congress.

One shot deals make for only bad politics.

If you want constructive change, you have to work steadily at it. Steadily for a long time. The people working to do you wrong don't rest.

    •  Brick walls are there to make us stronger (0+ / 0-)

as we climb over them. And to show us how much we want it. Or so my 4'9" Polish spitfire grandmother used to say. For 50 years she marched for suffrage and integration and granddad's union. She and my mom were even arrested opposing Massachusetts' anti-birth control laws. Start hanging out with your local DFA or even OFA groups, or a local campaign and the mojo will come back.

that there should be NO help for the bad candidate they forced on us, and we should focus on other races instead. We've got a few difficult congressional races who probably need our help. That other race — let that one go Republican (It's going to anyway and not worth fighting for). If I had any energy and enthusiasm (and who knows, I might a few weeks or months from now) I'd focus on keeping Betty Sutton or Steve Dreihaus in office, or even helping Justin Coussoule — as hopeless as his race probably is, I can't get over that a decent progressive and not shy about his positions is challenging John Boehnhead in THAT district! Oh-08 is not exactly a swing district.
