Really nothing could be more important, if there is any stirring of concern over the SBOE, than doing whatever can be done to support Bill White and the other Democratic candidates (including those running for the SBOE)

The Democratic Party was not up to the virulent ruthlessness of the Republican attack of the mid nineties engineered by Karl Rove, Dick Armey, Tom DeLay, etc.

Consider all that has happened to Texas and the nation since Bush was elected Governor and Ann Richards was defeated.

If that doesn't get your hair on fire, nothing will.  This election could be the start of stopping the hemorrhage.

Do something, don't just keystroke over it.

hope that the idiots who have no constructive and creative solutions but only look to tear down will not win the day.

Judy Jennings  & Rebecca Bell- Metereau.

These are huge districts ( only 15 in the whole state), and the campaigns are expensive. In addition, James Leininger will pour money into their right-wing Republican opponents, as he did to elect Dunbar and other right wing zealots now on the board.

In case you missed it, see Rebecca's diary on how McLeroy plagerized his contribution to the social studies curriculum standands from Wikipedia...

Good thing we've still got politics in Texas -- finest form of free entertainment ever invented.- Molly Ivins
