    As it is, though, it stands a good chance to be blatant indoctrination. The teachers could rely on "ideas" provided by those who write copy for teacher's texts and for the typical discussion guides/questions.

    Those people are not necessarily (maybe not even often) the textbook authors. They are not necessarily experts in the topics.

    Put a couple of people like those RW Texas school-board folks in a room and ask them to write such guides and guess what you'd get.

    Don't believe everything you think.
