"clean coal" and MTR is frustrating, he is a very practical pol that doesn't rock to boat.  Conway is no better no worse.  Whoever wins will have a shot, and to concede that shot to a teabagger named after Ayn Rand is political suicide.

    I won't be staying home.

Led the charge against gay marriage in his state and is "pro life". He sounds like a great Republican, but a Democrat? not so much...

John Yarmuth is as liberal as we get.  Mongiardo won't be holding unemployment benefits hostage, he won't be an accomplice to the McConnell corporate fantasy, and he won't be promoting deregulation on the teabag express.  He would be a vast improvement over the current senator and much less dangerous than the alternatives.  He does have some odd conservative stances, I grant you that. Conway seems to line up better with our good liberal values, but I don't think that will make him a very palatable candidate in the KY general.  Easier to paint as the utomatic vote for the Obama agenda.  Mongiardo has more cross over appeal in my judgement, and whoever the DEM is they'll need it.  Plus he has a record of strong performance in the very bad election year of 2004.

I won't be staying home.  I'd gladly vote for the guy.

his given name was Randall, which he shortened in recent years to Rand.  It's available on you-tube, but I don't care enough to get it.

Umm, that's PRESIDENT Obama and SENATOR Franken, mr. o'reilly.
