    . . . what I've felt for a long time:  This election will be more or less a wash, with neither party gaining or losing significant numbers of seats in either house.  One or two in the Senate, either way; half a dozen in the House, either way.

    People in general are disappointed in the Democrats, but that doesn't mean they're willing to go back to the GOP, which they dislike much more.

      What's preventing Republicans from going any further is the wide publicity the GOP's true philosophy is now getting-- from Sue Lowden's health care for chickens proposal to Rand Paul's evasive answers to simple questions about civil rights. Folks may be disappointed by Democrats, but do they want to give Republicans the keys to the car (to paraphrase President Obama)? I DEFINITELY DON'T THINK SO.
