Meek has to stick around to benefit Crist though, because as long as Meek keeps running Crist is the indie, however if meek bowed out any time soon then Crist would become the defacto Democrat (the non-Republican in the a person race).

Meek made the mistake of laying low and letting Rubio and Crist battle it out, hiding rather than fighting.  He's virtually a non-entity in the race.

Politics is like playing Asteroids - You go far enough to the left and you end up on the right. Or vice-versa.

and has been on the ground for the past 15 months...hardly "laying low."  Sestak did the same thing and won in the end.

How much cash on hand does Meek have?  That's the big question.

      •  Sestak won what? Meek isn't running (0+ / 0-)

for the nomination anymore, is he? He should drop out.

        •  Sestak won the primary (0+ / 0-)

and he had no visible presence until about three weeks out.

So you don't think we should have a Democrat in the race?  That's ridiculous.

          •  Crist and Meek will split the votes (0+ / 0-)

of normal people, and Rubio will win with the psycho vote. Same thing just happened in HI house special election. How many people will vote for Rubio instead of Crist if Meek drops out? How many people will vote for Crist instead of Meek if Meek drops out? I assume the math works in favor of Crist. I could be wrong, but it would sure be counterintuitive if I were.

            •  I'm not about to concede the election (0+ / 0-)

to the Republicans.  And Crist is a Republican.  Are you from Florida?

              •  No, I'm not. I have no love for Crist, but (0+ / 0-)

Rubio is psycho. And don't you think Crist would caucus with the Dems, like Lieberman and Saunders do?

                •  I don't trust Crist at all. n/t (0+ / 0-)
