    that if the mud is insufficiently dense to add the necessary weight to the column that you know the height of, then it doesn't matter what you do, you'll never be able to hold the column back. Yeah, the goal is to get hydrostatic equilibrium in the pipe so the concrete can set, and you only know if you have that by measuring the pressure.

    Leave it to Republicans to set the house on fire and then rant that the fire department is socialist.
