as others have said from the start, why we don't hire 20,000 people to clean up and stick BP with the bill is beyond me.  we can't start early enough.  hire em for 2 months, that's 80 hours, 12 bucks an hour (what the temps cleaning up before obama showed up were making), you know how much that'd run?

    EIGHTY EIGHT MILLION BUCKS.  (23 days in a month * 2 months * 8 hours in a day * 12 bucks a day * 20000 people)

EIGHTY EIGHT MILLION BUCKS.  That's less than 10% of the total cost so far, and probably will be pennies compared to what BP is going to pay in the end.  We get a jump start on the clean up, and put people to work.  Hell, how many of us would go down and work if there was a program?

    I can't believe they're not doing this.
