    to me, because it's easy to get mad after the disaster strikes.

    Here's the ugly truth.

    We've made a CONTRACT with technology. We as a society accept all sorts of outlandish risks everyday. The corporations serve their shareholders and provide us with 'cheap energy'; and we accept the risks they impose upon us.

    The government has simply failed in its duty to protect the public. If this happened under a Bush administration, we'd be in the streets with pitchforks and torches.

    No matter what happens with this disaster, you can rest assured that nothing fundamental will change; Americans will still demand their cheap energy, and the corporations will be allowed by the government to put citizen's health and lives at risk, with little if any actual study or oversight.

    Best Republican idea:
    Ban ranch dressing. It's the devil's saliva.
