    mostly served to end unemployment, so I tend to agree with you.

      We could basically arrest 10 million people today and pay them a pittance to sit in camps.  We could also start paying a bunch of other people to build and manage those camps, to feed the interned people and to build a bunch of stuff we drop into the sea.

      That's basically the economic effect WW II had.  When you look at it this way, it's obviously absurd to think this behavior leads to economic growth.

      Heck, the camps have the advantage of not killing 60 million people and burning 1/2 of Europe and the Pacific.  

      Results count for more than intentions do.
