    the water and the top surface layers is the easy part. There is still bedrock coming up. And after that, the hardest part is the sideways directional drilling, which has to exactly intercept the damaged well pipe.  That's like trying to hit a rifle target about 20 miles away.  And every time they miss, they have to back up, plug up a long passageway, and start over.

    It will be an incredible miracle if they get it done by August.
