And it's hard to put Story with Polk. The big western district needs either Story or it has to really loop south of Des Moines to make it work.

I could see Latham moving to be in a county to be against King, as I think he'd win against King. Boswell has a condo in DM to remain eligible.

The thought of Branstad as governor makes me physically ill. I moved to Florida from Muscatine in 1986 to get away from the Reagan Iowa Depression and moved back in 2003 as things seemed better. I just don't get why people who enthusiastically threw out the incompetent GOP 2 years ago somehow now believe them to be the saviors.

For instance, 2 recent ranking made Iowa look great. 1 had DM in the top 10 in business climate and another had DM/WDM as #1 as the best place to raise a family. I'd say Chet needs to remind Iowans that is the result of 12 years of Democratic governors.

Another point, Microsoft is considering something here. Does anyone think that will happen if the GOP comes in a makes a huge push to repeal the marriage equity ruling?

I hope Chet REALLY pushes on how Branstad now adheres to a right wing ideology. Enough to smack some some of the older people who have been voting D to preserve SS and Medicare into realizing he's not the old semi-moderate Ray devotee, but has moved right to placate the VDP wing of the party.

I really was sad to see Bob Ray on TV shilling for Branstad the other night. He wasn't a totally crappy governor for a GOP. His daughter was fun to party with at some VHS-RHS parties I went to back in the day. Sigh

F the right wing whiners. I don't care about them any more they can all F themselves for all I care.
