or are you just being willfully obtuse?

are you aware of a product called "Google"?

do you ever make declarative statements, or do you just answer every point by firing off idiotic questions?

see, i can do it too.

    •  No, you're just making shit up. (0+ / 0-)

Where did "the President personally then goes on to communicate that he felt it was time for her to go, the White House was involved in the decisionmaking that led to her resignation?"

Is that in one of your links?

      Where?

"Her comments were offensive," Obama said. "It's a shame because Helen's someone who has been a correspondent through I don't know how many presidents - was a real institution in Washington. But I think she made the right decision."

why is this so difficult to understand? the white house, whose standard operating procedure is to parse every syllable they utter with extreme care and elaborate calculation, makes a blunt and unvarnished statement in condemnation of an individual reporter. this is how pressure is exerted. that pressure comes in response to pressure on the white house from other directions, and it goes on from there: to hearst, to its affiliates, advertisers, and eventually to thomas herself, who succumbs and tenders her resignation. this is everyday stuff. i'm not positing some kind of secret string-pulling hatchet job -- they did it out in the open.

put it to you this way: do you suppose thomas would be in her seat in the press room today if the administration had issued a statement defending her?

That was after she had already resigned.

Yet you;re claiming the White House had  a hand in her resignation.\

Are you really this stupid or is this just an act?

...you can't even lob a simple insult without phrasing it in the form of a question.

Gibbs's "offensive and reprehensible" remarks were made in a WH press briefing before the resignation, an outcome which only a fool could believe was in no way influenced by the White House Press Secretary's statement. The President subsequently telling an interviewer that this was what he considered "the right decision" ought to dispel any confusion over the administrations role in these events.

Any more questions? C'mon, I know you've got 'em.

            •  You got nuthin'... (0+ / 0-)

First, you refer me to your links. They don't support your assertions.

Now you claim that a Gibbs' comment indicates White House intervention, yet you provide absolutely zero information to back up your claim.

You're either an idiot or a liar. Take your pick.

Nice chatting with you, Bob. Have a great day.
