    ... characterizing these times, it's rampant devastation visited upon the planet by corporations.  The bigger the company (e.g. BP), the bigger the danger.  If Obama didn't have time to notice that, the only thing to call it is dereliction of duty.

    MMS was well known to be a corrupt cesspool - I've even seen reference to Obama saying so during the campaign.  It's also the government's second largest revenue center.  Besides, there was a call for expanded drilling and a declaration that it was safe, which I can only classify as willful ignorance.  Anything other than Manhattan Project or New Deal kind of commitment to getting off oil is irresponsible.

    Believing BP, with its track record?  Irresponsible.
