      I understand the idea that Greene may have been a plant. But how did he get so much of the vote without doing... anything? I mean, I know a lot of the focus is on Sharron Angle's Whacky Conspiracy Theories, but... what the hell's going on down there?!

        Because South Carolina has open primaries, Republicans can vote for Democratic candidates and vice versa.

          ..and that everyone can vote. But still, someone had to tell 59% of the voters that evening to vote for this guy? I've seen the suggestion that 'Greene' comes before 'Rawl', and that may be a contributing factor... but I don't buy that that would get him 59% of the vote.

          I'm with Clyburn, there were some shenanigans here.

          …races in in SC this year, there is no chance that GOoPers were mounting an Operation Chaos in the Democratic primary. And the turnout numbers highlight that point.
