I'm not at all proud of having to make such a statement in Clark's very informative diary.  But it has to be stated, because in each and every one of Clark's series on DADT, the pom pom and megaphone crowd have come in and virtually claimed that a knowledgeable person like Clark just didn't know what he was talking about because of some belief they have in some backroom sly strategy that was going to make everything come up all rosy.

Face it, that's not reality, and Clark has very adeptly proven over and over again that he is on target with how this issue is being fumbled at each and every opportunity.

Sorry, them's the facts, and no apologia can cheer-lead it any other way and be honest.

    Gone: other things to do.

Clark is doing incredible work and I very much appreciate it. But you are wrong that his conclusions are in any way definitive. He is forming a hypothesis based on his inferences drawn from the facts. I can't definitively prove that he's wrong, but neither can you prove that I'm wrong.

I'm not cheerleading for Obama--he pisses me off as much as anyone. He's not doing this the way I would like. But I believe there is a possibility that he is being smart, strategically, and we're only going to know for sure after this is all over.
