  •  She's a controversial character (5+ / 0-)

Her spin sometimes goes over the top and she's reportedly made some unfounded CT claims.

I do support her activism, but I also agree with her critics who say that we need accurate and honest information and accounts -- we need truth, non-embellished truth.

If there is an upside to over-the-top stories (I'm not stating hers is such - I don't know yet) is that it does help illustrate the need for unfettered access and unbiased, unblinking documentation of every aspect of this operation.

    •  I would like to see (5+ / 0-)

some verification of the things she claimed also.

But if even half of what she said is true, it's bad.  Really bad.

      •  I don't agree with her 100% on stuff. (6+ / 0-)

Shit. I don't agree with my self that much. But she's truthful. And she's sincere.

The CT stuff comes from so many people associated with the Exxon Valdez claiming respiratory and other illness associated with the spill. With any incident like this, there's going to be a lot of psychosomatic symptoms. There's some fakes too. Riki believed everyone because these were her people and it wasn't her place to not believe them.

The man who believes he's ill from the fumes... are the fumes his fault? They're not Riki Ott's fault either. They're Exxon's fault. The Supreme Court doesn't see it that way, but I have to think reasonable people do.

She was helping to build cases against Exxon. BP will find Riki Ott a formidible opponent. Were I them, she's the last person on the planet I'd want to see on-site.

        God bless her heart.

It rubs the loofah on its skin or else it gets the falafel again.
