    dirt-cheap to produce. But I bet they get about 5 viewers.

    What puzzles me is that they haven't figured out they'd get more eyeballs for very little more money doing public affairs over the weekend - even rerunning things like Matthews' show, which I was not able to watch when broadcast.

    The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

      Those prison docs are amongst the highest rated programs for cable news on the weekend. MSNBC is frequently the top cable news network for weekend primetime. They regularly beat even Fox News.

      I'm not defending the programs - I think they're boring infotainment. But entertainment programs always beat news programs and they are certainly not news. That's one of the reasons why Fox gets such high ratings - they are more entertainment than news.
